One of the more interesting videos last week showed a man publicly slapping an MMDA traffic enforcer after the latter stopped him for a traffic violation. That incident would've just been a day in the work of that unfortunate MMDA enforcer but since a TV producer who just happened to be there when it happened took a video of the incident and posted it online - the resulting reaction forever changed the life of the aggressor. That has been the case nowadays, with aggressors like Claudine Barretto and Raymart Santiago and Mr. Carabuena suffering instant public vilification because of what they did.
The public has taken the task of being judge and jury even if we don't really know the whole story or even if we don't really know the character of the aggressor - or that he or she may just have been having a bad day. However, this should put anyone on his or her best behavior whenever they are in public, because nowadays, anyone and everyone has a handy camera phone and one's quiet life can be altered forever for some unfortunate display of bad behavior in public.
