Now That We've Reached 101 Million Filipinos, We Need the RH Bill More

Frankly, you need not be a rocket scientist to figure out that if you have more children, the more expenses you'd have to shell out as they grow up.  Unless you're lucky and was to the manor born, many ordinary people have mortgages to pay, children to send to school and sick parents to take care of and having too many children may decrease the quality of life of the family.

Case in point.  My family.  Since we were five children, and Papa lost his job when we were still in high school, we had to undergo a very difficult period, economically, in our lives - a period, which I vowed never to return to.  If you're poor, you really lose.  You have no access to good education.  Your choices in life are limited, and worse of all, you might have to think of desperate measures to keep your family afloat - like, become a drug mule, sell your body, or worse, become a career thief, not that our AFP generals are not doing that now.  But that's another story.

Well, the Church will always want the natural way of family planning.  That's their job to preach that.  But that still would not allow your kids to study in their Catholic schools, unless you have P100,000 to spare FOR ONE CHILD.  What if you have five?  So off they all go to public schools, and YOU know what kind of education they'd get in those places.  Another seaman or made in waiting.  Is that the life the Church wants for the next generation of Filipinos?

I just pray really, that each Filipino gets to live a good quality of life.  By having too many children, borne about by spreading hellfire as punishment is really foolish logic.  These poor people are actually experiencing hell on earth right now, and there's no guarantee that they will live in heaven soon as they die.  Hell on earth, and hell again, afterwards, no thanks, Father!
