Sometimes it baffles me as to why America treats their immigrants that way. Haven't they forgotten that actually a huge majority of their families were immigrants generations ago?! If their forefathers were not accorded the same opportunities, I'm sure many of them won't be where they are now in their lives - if their forefathers chose to stay in Europe or in their previous home countries. It's not like many of these immigrants go to America to become criminals. These immigrants often have to get the most menial of jobs just to rebuild their lives in a place so foreign from their own. Definitely not an easy thing to do! There should be a better way of integrating them into American society. Frankly, where would America be now if not for the contributions of generations of immigrants?
