Paris Hilton: The Queen of Voyeur Porn In Town to Sell us Her Bags
Any student of Public Relations or Entrepreneurship or even Communications, should use Paris Hilton as a case study on how to turn a bad thing into something profitable! It does help though that she is really charming and comes from una familia rica but exploited women everywhere can still fight back against assholes who cheapen them - by turning their notoriety into moolah!! Sometimes, in the end, that's what really matters.
Now at a mature age of 30, Paris Hilton has wisely diverted into more entrepreneurial endeavors and with the help of Pacquiao's billions, she has opened several stores in the country carrying her collection of bags and what-have-you's. Now she can say to her former beau - SUCK THIS!

Looking Forward to Nora Aunor's New Work
Ok, ok! I am a true blue Noranian, and even though I also like Vilma Santos' movies, it was Nora's movies that I really line up for when I was still growing up. It's great that she has decided to come back here and work again. I am one of those looking forward to see her new work. I hope it does equal or even surpass what she has already done for Philippine cinema and television.

Is It Now Going to Be the Century of the Yuan
The Philippine peso has been pegged on the US dollar ever since I can remember and even our lowly peso is stronger than it! Imagine that. It's just irritating because my own business has pegged itself on the dollar and a weak dollar is not good news for us. Talk now is shifting to the Chinese yuan and for it to take a more centerstage position in the world economy. Is it time for us to stock on the yuan then?
Don't Understand the Hatred Towards Christopher Lao's Mistake
I think it's in poor taste that that station allowed the video of Christopher Lao to be shown. I don't think it was even newsworthy at all. If what they wanted was to humiliate the poor guy, then they have succeeded. Just check all the hate pages and hate comments he got. It's just sad that that TV station is now poking fun at ordinary people who cannot defend themselves when they make mistakes. Must be traumatic for Christopher but he'll live. Next week, another guy will take his place.

Kulo Exhibit on Jesus Christ Pushes It
I heard about this exhibit at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, a few weeks ago and I haven't even seen it. I do plan to see it next week though and find out what the fuss is all about. However, many local programs have shown it on TV and it's quite controversial! I don't know though what he wants to achieve by showing these images and how it depicts the issues he wants to discuss. Anyhow, he's not the first artist to use the images of Christ and Mother Mary to attract attention. I understand we live in a country that has free speech so we allow him to do this. I just think it's in really bad taste. The artist got the attention that he wanted. I just don't know how he has achieved his objective with this. Well, this is art so we just have to interpret it ourselves.

Worried About the Strong Peso
Like any other businessman who conducts business with foreign companies, I am worried about the strong peso. Yesterday, I saw it go up to 41.92 pesos to one US dollar! And everything in this country costs more than it should be! The cost of business is still high in this country and the peso is still going stronger. Export companies are just going to fold or have to tighten their belts, or just hike prices up!
When The Extremist is a Christian
Extremists and terrorists can come from any background so I'm sure Norway and the rest of the Western world is struggling with the thought that Breivik is Christian, white and a Norwegian. I guess we have been using Muslim terrorist or Muslim extremist so much already that we have associated one with the other, unfairly of course. So with what Breivik does, would a Christian terrorist or Christian extremist be something acceptable to us?
