100 DAYS TO HEAVEN (True Love or Foolishness?)

      June 29 Episode is certainly one of my favorite not much about the acting or the characters but the lesson does it bring, the love of a friend and a love that’s true will always remain in sickness and in health till death do us part according to the bows of marriage and it must be fulfilled by husband and wife and from this episode it really does, Love is the most powerful nature here on earth.

      Carmen and Rene came back in the Philippines after long years of stay in the United States to look for Anna and their daughter, Rene’s past have been haunting him about their daughter that he has abandoned and now that his life would soon be over because of his heart problem he needs to see Anna and their daughter so that he could ask for forgiveness. But Rene’s illness brought him to the hospital instead of looking for Anna. His wife Carmen has been very supportive about looking for his lost daughter since they never really had a son or daughter she have accepted the womanizing behavior of Rene during those times and have already forgiven her many times and she still loved her in spite the fact that he has been unfaithful most of the times.

      Upon looking for Anna Carmen has found Sophia and young Anna in the hospital since Kevin was also in the hospital they have met, so Carmen took the opportunity to grab the help Sophia has been offering since they also work in the Toy Company which Anna Manalastas owned. Carmen has been very happy about what he just heard not knowing that it was the young Anna and Anna Manalastas they have looking for is definitely the same person. And so Carmen thought about telling them the real reason why they have been looking for Anna. It was then she realized that she has been blinded by love for accepting Rene.

      We were best of friends any time he has a needs and in trouble he would visit me and asked for help he even slept at home so I can comfort him, most of the time he’s been in trouble about his job and other woman told Carmen. He has told me everything about his bad experiences including his womanizing behavior and I am the only one who admitted him for we were best of friends Carmen added. Anna can’t help but to ask, and yet you still loved him? He is my best friend that’s why, she replied. I have accepted everything about him for the sake of our friendship until we have come to know that we are meant for each other and I love him.

      But our relationship has been very hard because of his womanizing habit and we had a series of break ups and reconciliation, because every time he made mistakes I always forgiven him many times. I know in my heart I would accept him simply because my love is true. This has been her confession, Anna and Sophia really belief about her for it was Anna who has been one of the victims of Rene’s sins. He has been immature and overgrown promising to change many times but he did not. Girls come and go in his life but I’m the only one who stay I felt like I have been immune about his sins that I can always forgive him all the time though it hurts.

      We never had a daughter because I’m impotent Rene was really disappointed, he would get drank all the time, he was fired on his job and lost his business including most of our savings and now he is dying slowly in pain. He left me during those times but I’m afraid to lose him but I learned to let go and we part ways, we tried to file divorce but he’s heart disease grew weary to undergone surgery. During those times he had no one but me, so I brought him home and took care of him hoping that after all this years he would love me back just like the old times we were friends he would come back to me just like the old times.

      Somehow I knew he needed me and I’ll never left him and he does returned but he is weakened by his disease. He thought that his setback is a curse from God for he had sinned so much. Until then he thought about his daughter and Anna about finding them. That’s why I thought that he will be serious about his daughter so we came back here to look for her and ask their forgiveness before he would die. But we were late since Anna had already died.  

      This story is a manifestation of truth and it can happen in real life I just can’t understand. But the argument still keeps lingering on my mind, is it true love or foolishness? I don’t know, how about you?  You’ll be the judge.   

100 DAYS TO HEAVEN (Love and Deception)

      June 27 episode is a girl’s night out. Jessica calls Sophia and invited Yani for a girl’s to girl talk, she wants to thank Sophia for what she has done by introducing her to the public as the soon to be new owner of the Toy Company being the nephew of Anna. When Sophia entered the club that’s where she loose contact with Madam Anna, since the place is loaded with party people and club music. Everybody seems to know Jessica now that she is the owner of the most prestigious toy company she’s like a celebrity.

      While outside the bar there’s Madam Anna standing by for what would turn out to be night of spy has become a horrible nightmare. Madam Anna cannot enter the club since she is inside the body of a little girl. She thought of using the back entrance to escape the guard’s attention. Jopet saw Yani and find her attractive that she felt in love at first sight but he never manages to escape from the guard to enter the bar because of the shirts he wore. Bruce stopped Jopet upon entering the club.

      Meanwhile inside the club, Jessica, Yani and Sophia has finally met just in time for Bart to call Jessica about what’s been happening. Bart asked her not to talk about their relationship especially when Sophia is around, he told her not to trust the girl but Jessica resisted and continue talking to the girls about her boyfriend. Jessica’s intention was simply trying to know the personality of Sophia.

      In the heart of Yani she knows that her brother Bart never really love Jessica in the first place but his deceptive intention was to attract her so that they can inherit all the riches that Jessica has, while Sophia has been doubtful about Bart. Sophia’s intention on Jessica, she is just plain quiet and observant of what soon to be traumatic event that would hurt Jessica in the future. And so it does. Jessica told Sophia and Yani about Bart that he is so honest and a caring man. Jessica wanted to bridge the gap between Sophia and Bart about their misunderstanding telling them that she would die when she loose the man she loved. Yani coughing and could not believe what she just heard knowing that his brother never really love Jessica but Sophia.

      Meanwhile, Anna on his way to the backdoor has just saw a familiar man and could not believe what he saw, it was an old acquaintance, her boyfriend, her first love and the father of her one and only daughter who left her deceiving her that he loved her but victimized her in a stake of his friends prize of making her fall in love. Madam Anna’s mind brought in the realization of the pass and her mistakes of falling in love with this kind of arrogant man. For it was during her pregnancy that she was left by this man in humiliation with his friend telling her that he never really loved her and it was all lies. That was the last time he saw the man the father of his unloved child leaving her in pain. She stumbled upon thinking and back again in her mind.

      The girls night’s out has ended but still Bart has been the topic but Sophia advice Jessica to try to know him better before falling too deep and that ended the conversation. They were about to go home when a drunk man blocked their way asking about their numbers but when the man tried to grab Yani, Sophia was quick to prevent him and fool him with a kick and some guys tried to prevent the man to leave them far behind. Sophia has brought scenery of heroic act in their presence thanking her for the help she has done. Yani has been very thankful about the incidence thanking her and compromised her to be her sister. At that same night Madam Anna was restless about the man he just saw thinking, Sophia suggested finding the man to release the anger in her heart. 

      The next scene seems to be a comic relief that struck me when jopet is day dreaming about Yani even though she knows that it is nearly impossible, her grandma recognized her feeling and advice him to wait for the right time, for true love waits. The next day, they were looking for Rene the ex boyfriend of Madam Anna and when they found him, Anna slapped her face, that ended this episode.

    You can fool some people all the time and you can fool all people some of the time but you cannot fool all people all the time. Chose love rather than deception, but if you try to hurt someone it will come back to you.            

       

100 DAYS TO HEAVEN (Unbelievable Marketing Strategy)

      June 23 and 24 Edition of this series seems to be an odd that boggles my mind till the time I lay down in bed, it took me quite a while to stop thinking about the different marketing strategy that I can’t understand but it is bound to happen in real life, there are times we are in the crossroads of decision of letting go and reaching out but it’s just an overwhelming feeling and an exaggeration of facts. To understand why I’m writing this letter this is how it goes. Emerald has been captured for her deceptive behavior scaring the employees of the Toy Company of Madam Anna. Emerald’s captured led her behind bars and his father still unrest in the Hospital.

      The accused never really had a feeling of guilt in her wrongdoing while the top Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Bobby is ready to file the case against the offender. The board had decided to pin down Emerald so as not to divulge the secret of her revenge against the Toy Company through which Madam Anna is the prime reason. Emerald has thought for a while about what should happened, that she will be prosecuted for a lifetime sentence in jail. But still she could not forgive Madam Anna’s sin against her father. They suppose to have a share or Royalty about the sales of the Toy designed by Emerald’s father but they were tricked by Madam Anna’s broken promises and lies. That has been the reason why her father suffered a stroke during her childhood.  

      During the meeting Sophia would suggest that Emerald would be set free and her father should receive the amount of shares from the sales of the toys that he has designed many years ago. This raise an argument and articulation of facts that makes my eyes grow larger for a different scene that Sophia has been suggesting. And how I am suppose to believe that it was raised during the board meeting, a culprit would be set free and an opportunity to receive a P30 million pesos? Wow, what a surprise and what a twist of fate for a criminal.  

      The major plan of the Toy Company is to deny that Anna Manalastas has promised to give a Royalty to Emerald Capistrano and her father, the media would easily publish such statement that Emerald tried to sabotage the image of them in favor of the company but Sophia came all the way to change the plan by turning the dilemma into a marketing campaign. The board meeting has been confused but willing to listen.

       Sophia suggested to call a press conference about the incident that happened in the past, Anna Manalastas has made an injustice to Emeralds father that she has deceived them for the price of the design of the toys and she has promised them the royalty they deserved since the company has grown to be one of the most successful toy company in Asia because of the design of the father of Emerald.

      Bobby the CEO have easily concluded an insane strategy that should not happen, he told the board that this will create an even more rotten image of the company in the eyes of the public. But Sophia is ready to tell the board that if it will not happen the competitors will find their way to degrade us in the hands of Emerald so by all means we can deny the truth say’s Sophia. We really need to pay the Capistrano the exact amount that they deserved she continue; because that will rebuild the image of the company not to fool people. The public should know that we are willing to pay the injustice the company has done in the past, to prove that we are a good company we must take pride of our company in the eyes of our customers beyond revenue generation.

      Some of the board agrees to repair the image of the company and the price is worth it, until they all have decided to agree about Sophia’s suggestion and praise her for his cleverness and ideas. Sophia suggest that Jessica would be the one to represent the media for a press conference so that the people will remember her as the new owner of the company and that the image will be renew about the worthlessness of Madam Anna in the eyes of the public.

       We are going to announce the abandonment of the case and they will be given their Royalty this is a chance for the company to renew and move on, right after the conference the company would be Jessica not Madam Anna. When the speech is done after the press the business will surely bloom in full because of the history of the toy, this will not just be toys but a masterpiece of history. This is definitely a sure profit, and definitely a renewed image to the company say’s Sophia. She has been applauded for his ideas and so it happened.                  

100 DAYS TO HEAVEN (Vengeance)

      June 21 & 22 episode was another controversial episode, the fake ghost culprit was caught and she is in the hand of Madam Anna and Sophia, they took her home before bringing her to the police for investigation. Madam Anna was wondering why this woman wanted to destroy the good reputation of the company she has built for years. Emerald the fake ghost feels the same way why she has been brought to that house and why are they trying to investigate on her. Although Mang Andres could not understand, he tried to tell her that they are good people and they really intend to help her, Emerald the ghost in disguise somehow believe in the sincerity of Mang Andres.

      Emerald admitted that she is the daughter of the doll designer and wanted to take revenge about her father’s sufferings. His father designed the popular doll warrior in her image, she believed that her father is one of the best toy designer and the Emerald doll the princess warrior action figure has been one of his great masterpiece.

      They plan to sell the design so they will be rich, his father spent all his life designing the toy, they offered the toy to Madam Anna many years ago but she bargain a very low price for only P50, 000 pesos but his father wanted a million for he thought that soon, there will be a massive sales of the toys. Anna was not contented about his price that she refused to buy that design. His father tried to renew the design of the doll so that it could sell better, he believed that they will be rich and it will give them good fortune if they sell them well.    

      During those times Emerald has been playing electronic gadget but when he tried to switch it causes a circuit failure and their house was burned out of fire. They lost their home, all they have is the masterpiece that they have to sell because they were broke and nothing is left, they have decided to sell the design to Madam Anna for the price she wanted but Madam Anna took advantage of the situation again to bargain the price for P20, 000 pesos for she knows that she can get it. Unwillingly they have no choice but to sell the toy design. Emerald’s father ask Madam Anna to get a share if the toy would sell good in the market but Anna promise a few lies and so the deal is done. Emerald grew weary about the deal because she knew that it’s not a good deal and Anna has taken advantage on them.

      During its release the toy princess has done well in the market and so they decided to return to the office of Madam Anna but she refuses to give a part of the royalty of sales of the toy princess to her father. Although Anna knew that her company grows and became popular because of the toy, she still believed that it is her effort that the toy has been doing well in the market and not the design of Emerald’s father. He was sent out by the guard of Madam Anna, his anger led him to suffer a mild stroke during those times. Emerald during her childhood has found in his heart a deep anger to Anna because of her greed and she has carried this feeling until she has grown.

      Emerald decided to study hard and promise to herself that she will take revenge in due time. This has been the reason why she disguised herself as a ghost in the company of Anna to ruin the reputation of the company in the eyes of the market. She wanted to take revenge on her father’s sufferings. Her anger and hatred she never let go has been the reason why she is so eager to get even with Madam Anna.

      Back in the office Bobby found out that Emerald is a special effects artist and an who applied as one of their lady guard in the Toy Company of Anna this has been the reason how she was able to freely enter the company. They have sent the guards and the police officers to hunt Emerald and it doesn’t take that long until she has been captured. Emerald has been put behind bars for his crime and still she's struggling to take revenge to Madam Anna until her last breath.

      She has been blinded in her heart and her revenge is a confession of her pain. I hope that she will find it in her heart to let go of her hatred and anger, for revenge is always a pleasure of a little and narrow mind. A person will never be happy if they never learn to forgive and cast on to God all the feelings of bitterness inside their hearts.

     

100 DAYS TO HEAVEN (The Ghost of the Past)

      June 17 and 20 episode is a different one; the toy company has been experiencing a different, unexplained phenomenon. By this time Madam Anna have heard about the news of ghost in her company, while most of the employees have been hearing rumors about their experiences of elevator running out of light, the sightings of the black lady and the photocopy machine that runs on its own. Bobby and his family also heard about the news but they never believe about it because it will be a threat to the company when people especially children find it out. 

      It was late night when Bobby was left in the office when suddenly he saw something but it was gone when he tried to look near about it. He himself was frightened when suddenly it was Jessica who appeared on his back to offer him some food for over time. But Bart at the back of his mind he never really love her but he couldn’t tell her so. Bart was in control of his brother Bobby to hold on to Jessica for she will be soon the owner of the Toy Company. Bobby believe that if there will ever be a ghost in the company it would be Madam Anna for she cannot leave her company.  

      Anna late at night saw the old man who assume to be the gatekeeper in heaven talked about her accomplishment and congratulate her that she has been very successful about her mission of changing others life and correcting her past mistakes. Anna really wanted to go to heaven since she never really understands the purpose why she has sent back to earth to change others lives. She said that she really belong to heaven so that people will not humiliate her being the ghost of the past. The gatekeeper told Anna that we all have created a ghost in the past that can scare us, sometimes it will come back to haunt us, when suddenly Sophia appeared and the gatekeeper was gone.  

      Back again in the office of Bart when Jessica was left alone she saw a lady wearing a black dress, she feel something beside her and she was scared. Jessica has been in traumatic emotion and could not believe about what she just saw. The next morning all out gossip of employees has been the trend; Madam Anna could not believe that people would say that it was her ghost spirit who they were seeing.  

      Even at home of Sophia, ghost has been the topic during their meal. Kevin was eager to ask about the reality of ghost and what is it all about, his father Mang Andres was never certain about his answer but he told him that ghost are spirits who cannot enter heaven because they may have a mission here on earth.    

      Jessica’s has yet another encounter at the elevator who automatically goes to the 13^th floor, and when she open its door it was the doll of Madam she just saw and speaking, threatening her to death that all of them will suffer my curse said the doll. Jessica shouted heavily until she was heard by the employees. She reported that the doll was talking on the 13^th floor. Even the security guard was scared to the doll but Madam Anna simply takes it out and show them the doll who during those times never really have a battery so there will be no way that it will speak.

      During this time the media has brought out the news that the Toy Company has been experiencing this kind of weird situation and therefore they took advantage about the news that the company has a curse. The controversy has been brought to the public and the family who have heard the news would throw away their toys and scared to death. Miranda has called the Psychic but nobody believed them, their intention was obviously just to get money from the company. The media continue to establish a high response of audience about the ghost in the Toy Company.

      Anna and Sophia decided to talk to Jessica and join together so that they can help the company until during their conversation the black lady appears and got caught by Bruce in the parking lot. It wasn’t really a ghost but a woman who seeks revenge against the company.  This is just another lesson learned that we should let go of our past, learn to forgive and forget, never carry the hatred and anger deep inside our heart for we will be the one to lose if we don’t let go.

100 DAYS TO HEAVEN (Encouraging Employees)

      June 16^th episode was full of mystery and thrill; most employees are suspecting sightings and feeling of the unknown. They are frightened by the ghost of Madam Anna Manalastas the owner of the Toy Company.

      The young Anna still don’t have any idea of what was going on inside her company and so she continue to tease Sophia about having a crush on Bart, provoking Sophia’s bit anger on her. Anna thought that Sophia was jealous about Jessica while Sophia thought that Bart has been using Jessica since she will be the one to own the company someday. This climax a tangled relationship and a twist of fate among characters unpredictable predicament and vision of what would be an imagined future setup of having a relationship. Bart never really wanted Jessica but he needs to do it because of his brother’s wish, while she really liked him.

      Bart continues to struggle about his decision to have a relationship with Jessica for they will soon be owner of the company of Anna Manalastas if he married her. He was trapped by his brother’s decision to marry her because of her wealth so he decided to talk to his brother Bobby to end up their deals but he refuses.

      Meanwhile Anna reminisces about her masterpiece the first toys that she has built that make the company grows throughout the world. She thought about the trucks, teddy bear, dolls and the other toys she loved. These toys are the results of her hard labor and this is her life. Sophia told madam Anna to let go of the past since she was dead and she could not carry all those riches to heaven but Anna refuse to listen for it is not about the money she’s after but the hard labor and passion that she has contributed to the company that she will never forget and she will never give up to continue the legacy she has contribute until her death.

      A new customer would be entering the business so Bobby would like Sophia and Bart to join together to form a business proposal about their new customer. He has decided to form a team so that they make sure they can get another good deal. But both guys never really had a good working relationship and this has cause a battle of the brain and power struggle among employees. Their short talk ended up blaming and hating each other more, and this has create a competition and a hidden realization of deep feelings they both would like to deny that they like each other.

      Anna and Sophia proceed to their missions; they look for the elevator girl who was a demoted, a former secretary of Madam Anna. The young Anna encourage the elevator girl to look for a better job since she is a college graduate and a former secretary but the elevator girl has found no confidence in doing so, Madam Anna’s humiliation goes deep into her that she is no good and she belongs only to that kind of job. Bu Sophia disagreed, and that she could have a better life rather than being an elevator girl and Madam Anna was wrong about her statement for she must have faith in herself to succeed in life said Sophia.

      A person should not lock themselves because of what others told them, you are the only one who knows what you can accomplish for it is your life, you should be the pilot and not anyone else she added. Sophia said that there is a better life waiting for her if she really wants. But the elevator girl could not understand so Sophia told her that she was once like her but someone has told her to have a confidence and faith in yourself that if a you have a dream you must reach for it and you can do it if you really want, you should not be contented to what others think about you and they should not be the one to make decisions in your life. You should take advantage of the opportunities that comes your way.

      The elevator girl seems to understand and could not thank her enough for her heart warming encouragement to move on in life. She thought that this has been the reason why she has been a marketing expert because of her courage that she poses; pay it forward and encourage others if you can is the way to do it, stressed by Sophia.

      I guess we all have our hidden fears that can discourage us to be stagnant but we must fight against it no matter what circumstance we are into. We must continue to dream to reach our goal in all honesty and God will be the one to provide us the courage and determination to succeed if we are determined.          

100 DAYS TO HEAVEN (The Good Samaritan)

 

       June 10 concluding episode of this series focuses on helping people. Children are teasing this crazy woman and Kevin came to the rescue to fool the children to call a policeman so that they leave the poor crazy woman so that the children would run away. Kevin gave the dirty woman bread and she ate it hurriedly, her dirty old cloth and dirty hair signifies her hunger and a bad smell. Kevin took the woman home just like a Good Samaritan. Upon seeing the woman Anna and Sophia was scared and shocked. They couldn’t resist her smell and looks. Kevin explained that the woman is a friend and he will take good care of the woman so that children would not tease her on the street. Kevin reminded them that a person should give help in times of need just like written in the bible as a Good Samaritan.    

      Anna and Sophia recognized the woman that she is the one they’ve been looking for. She is Gina, Anna’s former employee. They took good care of Gina and clean her body and gave her new clothes so that she would look nice. They even think of ways so that she could be back on her own mind again, they have tried to convince her to try to think and respond so that she can be brought home if she’s been cured.

      Anna and Sophia think about ways of how she’ll be back in her mind actually when Gina responded once they have proven that it was Anna’s fault when she fired her, Anna didn’t know that Gina was pregnant when she fired her, Gina lost her job, she lost her baby and her husband left her. Anna thought about firing Gina on her job since she didn’t perform well.  Anna and Sophia took Gina on her way home to look for her husband Paul but he resisted accepting her since she lost her baby. Anna felt the need to help Gina all the way, morally and physically. Gina has no place to stay, although Sophia’s family is poor they never doubted to accept other people like Gina in their own home to bring them shelter and food. God will be the one to bless such family with this kind of thinking.  

      All of us will soon face the same situation about being there in times of needs, look around you and you can see people suffering from different kind of trouble and you can find that you can always be of help to them. No matter how big or small you can do, just learn to be helpful in your own ways. As long as there is a genuine concern and we are motivated to help people, this can bring a greater joy in our life more than the physical reward that we can get. There will be times that we will be the one who will be in need of help, we can easily recognize a true friend and neighbor if they are willing to help us the same way we help others.

      This work is written in the bible (Luke chapter10: 25 to 37) came into a parable. When Jesus is into the middle of many people and children told the story of who really is a neighbor. He told that there was a man going down the hill from Jerusalem on his way to Jericho but robbers came to hunt him to take his belongings and beat him leaving him almost half dead. He was all alone and helpless until such time there was a priest who came to that road and saw him, the man asked the priest to help him but the priest took passed the other road to prevent him. Another man passed the same road but he does the same preventing the man. But when a man from Samaritan passed the same road and he saw the man half dead he had compassion. He came to him and bound up his wound pouring an oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.

      The next day he gave money to the innkeeper saying, took good care of the man and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back says the Good Samaritan. It was the story told by Jesus then he asked the people, who among the three proved to be the neighbor to the man who fall among robbers? They answered that it is the man who showed him mercy. Jesus told us that we should do the same to people who need help.  

            

100 Days to Heaven: Overcoming Fear

      June 6 episode told about the pressure and real life application of lesson from Sophia, taught by Madam Anna who gave her the confidence to work out the things that she has learned during the previous lessons. In continuation with the last episode last June 3 Sophia goes back to the office of Bart to face her fear and give her side about the presentation. Bart was so shocked about Sophia’s revelation that his presentation is worthless and ugly; Sophia felt relief when she walked away outside the room, for in that same time she gets even with her opponent in humiliating the works of Bart. He could not stand a chance against Sophia’s evaluation about his work. He was again left with so much anger and jealousy against the women since her brother Bobby the CEO have so much faith about Sophia’s genius opinion.

      Sophia was so happy when she got home telling her family that she succeeded in time. His little brothers words is another lesson learned, that you should not have enemy for you can never win an argument if you cannot win the heart of a person. A person with jealousy and deep rooted feelings of hatred will always be a friend in disguise but an enemy in reality for a praise of an enemy is a stab behind the back.

     Going back to June 6 episode would be a real combination of reality of life and comedy when Sophia faces the struggle of meeting their client without the help of Madam Anna, she decided  to let go of Sophia to overcome her fear of dependency upon her. This is the real test of application of how Sophia can handle about his emotion on her own and what she has to offer in the Toy Company of Madam Anna.

       This is the moment Madam Anna has been waiting for, Sophia will face the new client and it’s all up to her. The board room meeting with the client with Sophia has been set and she be will be presenting a board game for South Korean investor. Bobby gave a little orientation for Sophia’s presentation about the product and highly expected her to get the target client. And so Sophia asked for help with Anna but she refused, she told her to remember and apply the things she has learned, just don’t let them know about it just learn to read their mind, relax and believe in yourself and then after a few talk, Anna let go of Sophia.

      Sophia still hesitant to talk to the client from South Korea finally decided to deal with them by pushing the client to sit down and have a play using the board game. During the presentation Sophia do not really know how to start a conversation since she really know nothing while the Korean could not understand what she was trying to prove resisted about her offer and seems to draw back from their board meeting. But Sophia was fast to prevent them to try a few more conversation and play again. The Korean still lingers but finally gave her another opportunity and eventually played with her using the board game.

      Bobby the CEO looking back at the transparent doorways enjoy what he sees when the Korean client enjoyed the play. He thought that Sophia would be successful once again in dealing with a big account and she was. Finally the deal is done and Bobby congratulates Sophia giving her a check worth a hundred thousand pesos as a perk for his successful board meeting with the Korean. Bobby thought that Sophia was a real marketing expert and has so much to do with the future plans that will bring about changes in the Toy Company.

      Anna congratulated her that she has done well on her own just like a winner.      Sophia was overwhelmed and could not believe she has received a check worth a hundred thousand pesos (P100, 000) in just one deal. She felt proud, she has been successful and celebrated about her success by treating herself buying lots of good stuff for her family. Her genuine kindness for his family brought her to take his brother in the hospital for a check-up. She treats his brother to a restaurant and celebrates with her the whole day. She felt that this has been the price of her diligent work.

      All of us will go through the same trials and we must be courageous to face such obstacle in our life so that we will not live in fear forever. Finally she has overcome the fear of changes in her life.

     

100 Days to Heaven: The Corporate World

      May 30^th and 31^st on the recent episode of 100 days to heaven has shown yet another masterful craftsmanship from a different point of view, more than the biblical principles and moral value but the corporate challenges has been showcased here. The latest episode is a battle of humor and intelligence among the top corporate executives and their marketing strategies some of it may be adaptable in the changing pace of business so read on.  

      The next scene would be the meeting of mind. Anna Manalastas and Sophia would meet the client of Bobby from Singapore to make a good deal of joining them in the corporate meeting while Bobby prepared for the presentation to meet his client to make sure he gets the deal and this has been their much awaited time they have been waiting for, a big account from Singapore. Again to his dismay a call from the Singaporean client told him to change the venue of presentation upon the meeting and a slight delay of schedule. Bobby predicted a sense of urgency of plan but still confident to get the deal on his side. Anna and Sophia’s plan of meeting the Singaporean before the meeting with Bobby has been successful and they made a deal to join their corporate meeting.

      And so it goes the meeting of mind and the clashes of intelligence when they finally met, Sophia pretending to be a high class marketing consultant, Bobby the CEO, the Singaporean Client, Bart the real marketing consultants, Jojo and Roel the owner of Vtoys have finally met for the first time to an open discussion among who has a better product. This will be the battle for the Singaporean approval of who will be the one he is going to choose between Bobby’s Toy Company or Jojo and Roel’s Vtoys. Bobby was shocked to meet both parties for this would have been supposed to be a private meeting.  

      The next scene is a real competition of product quality and Sales strategy. While the Singaporean client was watching, Bobby was the first one to present his toy that their toys has 86 percent approval rating on a recent market survey including many of its features and that they have a very strong product that they deserved to get the deal in exporting their products to Singaporean market and a spot to a South East Asian toy fair. Sophia and Anna on the other hand were quick to think about its counter measure to come out with a better presentation thereof.  

      It was time to deal with the client and present the side of Sophia. She stands out with total confident along the crowd and pick up the toy of Bobby and telling that a battery operated toy however highly advanced in technology is still battery operated. She stressed out that once the battery run out the toy would be just a stagnant material therefore there will be no play involve unless the battery has been changed. Sophia threw away the toy to Bobby to make her own presentation about their chosen products. This will be her time to show their own stuff to the Singaporean client.  

      According to Sophia a toy should be simpler and cheaper than a battery operated one who can be easily die after the battery. Their product has a better special feature that is not a battery operated therefore more economical and children will not be dismayed since it will not die. She added that children will have more fun with this toy since the play will be continues. Family can even have more time to play with each other using this toy since the whole family not just children can use it. Everybody in the room has been pushed to applause with a wonderful presentation of Sophia. Because of her presentation Vtoys got the Singaporean clients and their back in business. 

      In today’s episode have proven that there will always be competition and a better person than us. We should not be over confident about our talent and intelligence as we may perceive for there will always be someone who will come out that may prove to be better and again we should not underestimate people around us until we know what they got. Bobby’s plan was to get even. he will be pirating Sophia in Vtoys to join their team in the toy company. He has an evil plan of a loser who never wanted to accept defeat and improve his craft.  

     

100 days to heaven (The other side of Anna)

 

      June 2, 2011 this day is another revelation of a well crafted and another majestic performance of great acting ability of all actors and actresses combined. They have only shown simple yet heartwarming and critical script writing masterpiece that permit to tell the whole story of another side of a person that has not been shown. Mostly in the TV series where there is only one side of the personality of the character, but this time they add up some twist. This day episode is probably one my most favorite.

      Anna Manalastas and Sophia on their search have not found a trustworthy employee and Anna still hurting about the discovery of employee’s accusation upon her character still, strive to believe that she has been a good employer and it is her employees who misunderstood her. Until Mr. Ricardo or Mang Carding (Joonee Gamboa) the Janitor shows up to tell the real objectives of their boss.

      Mang Carding told young Anna (Xyriel Manabat) and Sophia (Jody Sta. Maria) that he only spoken once to their boss Anna Manalastas (Connie Reyes) and that has been the most wonderful time of his life. Anna and Sophia wondered and unexpectedly pondered upon hearing such words. The janitor believed that Anna has been harsh on him but she told him a lesson he will never forget.

      It was the day that the messenger has been late on his duty and the secretary has asked the service of Mang Carding to deliver two important documents to their customers. Mang Carding failed to deliver the letter by swapping it on to each other. It was then that Anna called upon his attention in her office to talk to him for the first time. Anna in dismayed about the incident gazed upon his looks told Mang Carding to explain everything, Mang Carding on the other hand was awkward as he utter his first word in a silent voice told Anna that the envelope looks exactly the same. Anna on disappointment told Mang Carding that he have done a big mistake.

       It wasn’t long that Anna began to realize that Mang Carding is an illiterate man. The next words that she says is like a knife in his chest, Anna told him  that he has grown and yet he never realize the value of education at all and she told the man that he should be responsible to learn on his own if not given a chance to go to school. Anna added that he will always be fooled around by other person. She says they will always take advantage on you and you cannot do something about it unless you learn how to read and write. The last word she says is even more painful to Mang Carding when she stressed out that you should have mercy on yourself.

      Mang Carding has taken her word seriously and taken it quite impressively when he told himself that Anna has shown concern and importance in taking time to talk to him. He has taken the word of Anna not just a humiliation but as a challenge.  Sophia could not resist but to say that you were insulted by your boss and treated you badly, so how can she had shown importance?  Mang Carding lightly admitted that Anna has done a good deed in telling her the truth about his shortcomings. Mang Carding in his heart has left her a challenge that he has to face. It was then he realized the value of education and he couldn’t realize it without Anna. The young Anna smiled and told herself she is a good person.

      Mang Carding has been moved in her words and started to learn to read and write on his own with the help of the street children buying a few books on his last cents, until he learned a few words and begun to utter and write but struggling but he study hard all its phases and he toiled his free time day and night even on his job he find time to study and finally he succeeded.  He never known what he has done but he is proud of his achievement for he has regain confidence and meaning to live the life ahead.

      For so many years in darkness and humiliation about people who mistreated his lack of education, now he is ready to face the world. All this because of Anna.  Mang Carding is now ready to face his boss to tell her about his knowledge but it was during those times that the car of Anna has exploded. Most employees rejoice on her death. But not Mang Carding, he couldn’t thank her enough for she has made a difference in his life.      

     

      

100 Days to Heaven (Reconciliation Among Brothers)

     The May 26^th & 27^th episodes of 100 Days to Heaven should teach us forgiveness as written in Matthew 18: 21, “So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart." And Luke 17:3, “Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins against you rebuke him and if he repents forgive him.”

      On this recent episode of 100 Days to Heaven, they focused on reconciliation among brothers. Young Anna Manalastas (Xyriel Manabat) is still uneasy pondering about her past life when she created a conflict against brothers. Her treacherous plan was to make Roel and Jojo Villanueva fight each other through betrayal of trust when she set up a meeting with Jojo, telling him to resign from his position in her own office.  But she also called Roel to set up for another meeting that he would see his brother Jojo so that he may think that he is betraying his own company for a price, and she succeeded this time. Now her mission is reconciliation among brothers. With the help of Sophia who concluded that her mission was to have Roel and Jojo see their father reconciled before he died.

      Sophia’s plan was to call both brothers to handle a Singaporean account.  Basically her plan was a proposal of reconciliation of both Jojo and Roel.  And so they met, and they were both shocked that it was not a new Singaporean account but a for them to meet. And so as usual both brothers almost walked out from the meeting until young Anna prevented them telling that they should reconcile for the sake of their father who is sick and dying and that both brothers are needed by their father if they want his immediate relief. Both brothers thought that the plan was crazy, to think that it was enunciated by a child.

      Unbelievably both brothers have both agreed that they will pretend to reconcile only in front of their sick father who was on a hospital during those times, and nothing more.

      Anna Manalastas chastised them on how can they can say such a thing to a dying man without the feeling of guilt in their hearts. Sophia again concluded that Anna should have the heart to tell the truth. And so both brothers have shown respect on each other in front of their dying father.  When Jojo talked personally, the old man told him that during his younger years, he was the one who was sickly.  When their mother died, he made a promise that he will take care of them. That’s the reason why both brothers have not grown closer than they should be. There is some gap of jealousy and longing in the heart of Roel.  However, the old man says he is both proud of his sons.

      The old man talked personally to Anna and thanked her for the help she has given him for the reconciliation among his sons.  He couldn’t thank her enough. The old have long fought for his sickness because of his two sons and now that he finally found that his sons are back again as brothers and treat each other’s such, he can die happily. Young Anna upon hearing those words was alarmed but relief, reminding the old man to not worry about death for she has seen heaven and he should be there for he is a good man.  The old man can’t help but to laugh to a young girl of seven years of age talking about heaven.

      Anna thought that her mission is accomplished but Sophia told her that it wasn’t since both brothers were just pretending in front of their dying father and nothing more, but Anna still insists that she is indeed successful since the old man thought that his two sons has reconciled.

      Anna continuously thought that the only thing she has to worry about is the Singaporean account she has promised to Roel and Jojo. It was during those times when the nurse was yelling that Mr. Villanueva, the old man, was experiencing a major problem in breathing and that the old man is dying. The old man was dead when both brothers have arrived. Young Anna pretended to feel that she is successful in her mission since the man has gotten his last wish of reconciliation among brothers and that he died contented when he saw his sons back with respect among each other.

            

     

                 

100 Days to Heaven and Its Characters

      Today we are going to look at the characters of this teleserye and how they manifest to teach us morally. From the title alone, this teleserye has values formation much more about their characters; Take a look at the characters mentioned below and find out if you can relate to their personalities. Their individual characters mean so much and teach so much that it may simply be designed to teach us the meaning of life.

     Anna Manalastas (Connie Reyes) – A strict businesswoman who doesn’t care about anyone but only herself.  She grew up lonely and isolated and was taught by her father to never care about other people, something she has carried on till her death. Upon reaching heaven, she compromises with the gatekeeper and asks the gatekeeper that she be allowed to live again rather than to go to hell. She was given an opportunity to go back to her past life and correct all the mistakes she has done in the past. This has taught me to correct my mistakes while I'm still alvie, since we have all the opportunity to do good to people while we are still alive.  

     Young Anna Manalastas (Xyriel Manabat) – Lovable, clever, young lass who plays the role of an intelligent girl who has the mission to make a difference on anyone whom she had done wrong in the past. She must visit all the people she has made mistakes with and correct her mistakes for only 100 days or go to hell. This teaches us that life is short so we have to use it to the fullest or have regrets in our life when we grow old.  A dream that is not fulfilled will haunt you forever.

     Sophia (Jody Sta. Maria) - Another promising young lady whose job is to deceive people. Sophia never really wanted to do it but she was forced to do so because of her sick brother who needs medicine to survive. Deep inside she is a kind, warm-hearted lady who wants to change. This teaches us the ability to change no matter what situation we are into.  That life is a choice between good and evil. What will you choose?

     Kevin (Louise Abuel) – A young innocent boy who is sickly but kindhearted and understanding. A good boy who loves his family above all.  He is the friend of the young Anna Manalastas. He is the one who will teach Anna the simplicity of life being a child.  He depicts the reality of life is in the hands of a child. They are the one who own the world because of their honesty and innocence. It is only in the eyes of a child that we can see real happiness without limits. Learn to love them and you can see life.

     Mang Andres (Joel Torre) – The father of Kevin and Sophia who never stopped teaching their children about good character, Godliness and morality in spite of his impairment. Mang Andres sells rags on the streets to earn a living but he has lived decently living in modesty and poverty despite being a limp man. The real image of a father who will never give up for the love of her family and will always be dependable up to the last beat of his heart.   

     Bobby (Dominic Ochoa) – A greedy man who wants to get the possession of the toy company of Anna Manalastas in any way he could just to prove his worth to his family. He is greedy in business but a kind brother and a loving husband. He will do all things just to get the company even to push his brother to follow his will no matter what happens. Greed is another thing that makes a person weak although he looks strong in front of people but he will always be alone in reality because nobody wants to live with a greedy people. This is a kind of person who can never rest peacefully and can never find a true friend but more of an enemy.  

     Bart (Rafael Rosell) – The brother of Bobby who always follows him no matter what his brother says. Bart lived in a shadow of his brother forever although he knows he feels empty deep inside and wants to find his own personality. These people have low self esteem and hard to improve, weak in spirit and easy to discourage. This is a kind of person who needs more than sympathy but real love.

      There are many characters in this teleserye that definitely will teach you the real meaning of life and its lessons that you can keep in your heart to be strong. I really love this show. I hope you do too!

100 Days to Heaven: Episodes on May 20 & 23

      100 Days to Heaven is the story of Anna Manalastas (Connie Reyes). She is the rich but strict owner of a toy company.  In the past, she lived with her father in solitude. Her father was very strict and he forced her to be alone and never to believe people. So Anna grew up to be a loner and untrusting until she found a man who loved her but only for fun. She then had a secret relationship with Felix Roco who fooled her in a game of love.

      Anna became pregnant because of Felix. When her father knew her secret, he died a disappointed man. Her father could not accept the fact that his only daughter is pregnant without a husband. She had lived an even stricter life when her father died. She did not trust anyone except herself that is why she is always mad with everyone - all of them are afraid of her sarcasm and her arrogance.

      One time while she was on her way home, someone put a time bomb in her car.  It exploded.  Anna died in the explosion.  One of her employees set it up.  So when Anna died, she had an opportunity to talk with the guard keeper in heaven. He did not find her name in heaven and so she has to go to hell since she had done bad things to people. Anna, on the other hand, made a deal with the gate keeper in heaven and finally found herself going back to earth. But this time, not as Anna Manalastas, but as a child.  Her mission is to do good with people she has done wrong in the past before going to heaven and so the story starts here.

      In this recent episode of May 20, Jessica (Jewel Mische) has gained the control of the toy company of Anna Manalastas who was her auntie - according to the duly presented document to Bobby (Dominic Ochoa) - who almost lost his mind in dismay and disbelief because he himself wanted to gain the control of the company!!  In the meantime, the young Anna Manalastas (Xyriel Manabat), could not believe the news of the impostor Jessica who would want to gain her company and since that girl was unknown to her. Her plan is for Sophia (Jody Sta. Maria) to apply to the company to act as her lookout and gain back the company but Sophia hesitated since she only finished high school.

      Bobby, then, hatches an evil plan to get the company by using his brother Bart (Rafael Roselle) to court Jessica and basically inherit the company. The already dead Anna, Jessica and Bobby are all greedy and this episode becomes a battleground of greed and deception. Anna reveals her past to Sophia that she had a baby that she gave away and she asks Sophia to help her find the baby.  They later found out that the missing daughter has been adopted by a good family and that the family is now out of the country.  So Anna gives up looking for her daughter.

      In the May 23 episode, it opens with Sophia noticing that her brother has now many friends. Anna told her that she had paid the service of the children to play with her brother so that he can be happy. Anna encourages Sophia to pretend to be a marketing executive and a graduate of an international university to penetrate the company but Sophia refused.  However, with the help of Mang Emong (Smokey Manoloto) Sophia agreed to pretend as a college graduate and he prepared her training in studying the moves of a decent woman to make a good disguise. Meanwhile her father Mang Andres (Joel Torre) has opposed the treacherous plan. He will not allow her to do evil things. But Anna on the other hand wants the plan to go through because her life and her company are at stake.

      Meanwhile Bart and Bobby’s plan of courting Jessica is becoming successful.  Jessica is now falling into the bait of Bobby. And it looks like she will, since she allows herself to have a date with Bart. A deceitful date that will trap Jessica into the hands of Bart.  That is the deceitful ways of both brothers to get the toy company of Anna Manalastas. After a long conversation, Anna convinces Mang Andres, the old man, to allow Sophia to apply for a job.

      I think that greed or love money has become the root of all evil in this episode but there will be a lot of twists from the story. People in the story like Anna Manalastas will soon find her way to heaven because of her change in attitude.  She has more things to learn in life. There are more twists in the succeeding episodes so watch out for more.
