According to the Regus Business Confidence Index, the Philippines experienced a 2% increase in business confidence from April 2011, in contrast to the reverse in global confidence of most other countries. Apparently, local businesses are beating the gloomy global trend and are continuing to grow both in profits and in revenues - with confidence levels to match!
More Filipino businesses are reporting revenue and profit growth than six months ago confirming that confidence is firmly grounded in actual results. In line with this overall upturn in business confidence and performance 56% of Filipino businesses are also intending to hire more staff, with an emphasis on freelancers and graduates.
